Introduction

These case studies are based on five pathfinder providers in the SE region and are designed to illustrate real examples of how PEP can be established and delivered.

The five providers were chosen to be pathfinders as they were at varying stages of their delivery of PEP, all had slightly different funding streams available to them and had explored a range of set-up and delivery methods. The case studies describe these various starting points and approaches, and provide transparent accounts of some of the pitfalls and potential solutions to common issues.

The research and writing period for all case studies was April - August 2009.
